Thomas Collings age 71; b. 1798, d. 1869 - first name on monument Stone Reads: Sacred to the Memory of Thomas Collings Esq. of the Admiralty Born 9 Jan 1799 Died at Hampton Wick 29 September 1869 (Last line cannot read) The Maltese Cross is the cross symbol associated with the island of Malta. He worked with the admiralty there and his wife was Maltese. His job at the Admiralty was a clerk, superannuation.
