He reached Sydney in the Broxbornebury on 24 June 1840 ...In August 1855 he vacated his seat in the council and returned to England with his family, leaving Charles to run his stations....he was the principal commissioner for Queensland at the London Exhibition in 1862. ...Marsh lived at Mansion House, Ramridge, Hampshire. He died on 26 January 1881 at Bournemouth
