Joseph Majer (b. 12 March 1808 in Krakow, died. 3 of July 1899 in Krakow) - Polish doctor, naturalist, anthropologist, professor and rector of the Jagiellonian University, president of the Scientific Society of Krakow, the first president of the Academy of Sciences in Krakow.
