Eldest son of James Farquhar White, Esq., of Balruddery and Pilmores, who d. 1884, by Elizabeth, dau. of the late William Grundy, Esq., of Parr, Lancashire; b. 1857; m. 1st 1898 Mary MacRae (whom he div. in Scotland 1912); 2ndly 1913 Mrs. Alice Mary Frost, dau. of the late Edmund Jarman Leigh, Esq., of Bristol, and has, with a dau., a son, * Oliver Martin, b. 1902.
