Arthur John Hallam Montefiore Brice ( Catherston Leweston ( Dorset ), June 27 , 1859 - Tewkesbury , January 6 , 1927 ) is a British explorer, writer and biographer.
Son of a pastor, he founded the Educational Review and traveled to Asia , the United States , South America , Oceania and the Arctic 1 .
Secretary of Frederick George Jackson during his exploration of the Archipelago Franz Joseph (1894-1897), he is credited with numerous articles in the British press 2 .
He later becomes a lawyer.
He died in 1927 during a surgical operation 3 .
Brice Island has been named in his honor.
He was interested in fly-fishing
