image, dates and notes cannot be correct since this man was dead before ours was elected - did he have son of the same name? or does this show that sleight of hand was afoot with the ASL elections?

Notes From Elsewhere

Theodor Maximilian Bilharz (March 23, 1825 – May 9, 1862) was a German physician and an important pioneer in the field of parasitology.

Bilharzia is a common name for schistosomiasis. The Theodor Bilharz Research Institute in Giza, Egypt, is named in his honour. The crater Bilharz on the Moon was named after him.
