Captain William Henry Kennedy-Erskine was born on 1 July 1828.1 He was the son of Hon. John Kennedy-Erskine and Lady Augusta Fitz-Clarence.1 He married Catherine Jones, daughter of William Jones, on 18 November 1862.1 He died on 15 September 1870 at age 42.1<br /> He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 17th Lancers.1
