<br />*Resolved, on the motion of Mr Higgins, seconded by Dr Gibb, that this Council accepts the resignation of Mr S.J. Mackie, and in so doing they cannot but express their surprise and regret at the statements contained in his letter of resignation.<br />1867.02.12 It was resolved that, from this time, Mr Mackie should be no longer required to send reports of the meetings to the newspapers and journals, but instead thereof that he should be expected to act for the Hon. Secretaries as assistant secretary, at the same salary of £40 per annum, for the next three months.<br />1868.01.21 A communication from Mr Mackie was read, stating that the catalogue of the Society’s Library was in a state that the printing of it might be proceeded with<br />1868.02.25 A proposal was brought forwards for making some alterations in the arrangements of the Secretaryship, which were reserved for further discussion, and the Treasurer undertook to inform Mr Mackie that his services in assisting the Secretary would be wanted after the end of the month of March.<br />1868.04.21 After some discussion upon claims made by Mr Mackie upon the Society for services, it was resolved, ‘That £35 be paid to Mr Mackie in discharge for all claims on the Society, and that he give a proper receipt.’<br />
