Cantab.,<br />M.R.C.P Edin., M.R.C.S. Eng., aged 63.<br /><br />ISLE OF WIGHT TIMES Thursday 31st May 1894<br />DEATH OF DR. TURNER<br />It is with much regret we record the death of an old medical practitioner of the town, Dr.<br />TURNER, who died at his residence, Barfield, Ryde, on Saturday afternoon. Although the deceased<br />gentleman had been in ill-health for a long period, the end was somewhat sudden, he being taken<br />seriously ill on the Tuesday before his death. Dr. TURNER’s full name was William, Fredk. John, and he stood high in his profession, being LLB., Cantab; M.R.C.P., Edin., 1868; M.R.C.S. Eng.<br />1851(St Geo.,) Mem. British Med. Assoc; hon. Medical officer of the Ryde dispensary, the late hon.<br />Medical officer of the R.V.Y.C., formerly house surgeon of Queen Charlotte’s Lying-in-Hospital.<br />Dr. TURNER succeeded his uncle, the late Dr. Mark BROWN, and had been in practice in<br />Ryde , over 30 years, and was 63 years of age. Dr. TURNER was a Mason and had passed through<br />the principal offices. The funeral takes place this Thursday at 12 o’clock, Messrs. E.
