Pieter Johannes (Piet) Schoeman (1904–1988) was an Afrikaans writer of mainly natural stories (for both adults and children). He was born in Utrecht and is experiencing growing up in Natal<br />...<br />In 1928 he went to the University of Stellenbosch [2] where he obtained the BA degree with distinction in 1930 with Ethnology and Bantu languages ​​as major subjects and Afrikaans up to second year level. He then obtained the MA degree in 1931 with distinction. At the end of his MA year, he decides not to become a minister anymore and must repay all the money he has been given. However, his excellent results earned him the Ebden scholarship for three years, with which he could complete his doctorate. In 1933 , he obtained his D.Phil. Degree with a thesis on Grabs from the life of the Swazies and a dissertation on the "sacral complex" in their culture .
