Hamilton J Hulcee (1847 - 1912)*[this is son] father dates 1810-1892 - which one is this?<br />Hamilton J. Hulcee fought in the United States Civil War for the Confederate Side. He was listed as being from Kentucky. He was a Private in the 9th Kentucky Cavalry.<br />Obit. Dr Hamilton J. Hul-Cee died at his home, at 309 East Jefferson Street,Louisville, yesterday afternoon, after an illness of several weeks from the grip. Dr Hul-Cee was one of the best-known physicians in that city, and, though eighty-two years of age, attended a large practice until he was taken ill. He was born in Belvidere, N.J. in 1810, but removed to Kentucky in early manhood.<br />After growing up he acquired a taste for the study of medicine. He went to Cincinnati Medical College, and after taking one course went to Philadelphia, where he was graduated with honors. Since then he has been in constant pursuit of his profession. He was proprietor of several patent medicines bearing his name.<br />In 1846 Dr Hul-Cee was married to Miss Viviane Lindsey, whose death occurred about three years ago. Seven children were the fruit of the marriage, of whom five survive. They are Mrs Allee Green of Hill City, Tenn.; Mrs Selma Durbin of New Albany, Dr Hamilton J., Jr., Eugene Lee and George E.
