19 May 1942 Assistant Secretaryship: the President made a verbal report on the action taken by the selection committee, which had considered the qualifications of three candidates, and, by virtue of the powers delegated to them by the Council had engaged the services of Miss F. Stallman. The appointment was to be a provisional one for the period of the war, terminable on six months notice by either party, and the salary was £260 per annum.
It was resolved that the services of Miss Grant should be retained for a further period of 6 weeks, that is, until the Annual General Meeting.
