Sidney Herbert Williams was a Fellow of the Society of Antiquarians. A Lewis Carroll specialist, he compiled a Bibliography of Lewis Carroll (1924), and, with Falconer Madan, A handbook of the literature of the Rev. C.L. Dodgson (Lewis Carroll) (1931); reissued as The Lewis Carroll handbook (1962).
