Lieutenant Colonel Cecil Longueville Snow died on 11 December 1915, aged 51. Cecil Was the youngest son of Thomas and Fanny Snow who lived at ‘Hadley’ Grand Avenue, Southbourne, Bournemouth. He was married to Ulrica Beatrice Snow and was father to Joan Beatrice Longueville Snow who was 15 when her father died. Cecil was in charge of the coast guard in Mersa Matruh, Egypt and his Commonwealth War Grave Index mentions that he died ‘trying to save the life of a Bedouin’.

He was the youngest son of the late Thomas Snow, M.A., barristerial, and Mrs. Snow, of Hadley, Grand - avenue. Bournemouth
