quite probably: Born Charles Ludwig Fleischmann in Altendorf, Germany, in 1867. Came to England prior to 1890, then bought three coffee fincas (plantations) in Guatemala in 1893 with brother Hugo. Charles probably returned to England in around 1910. Changed his name to Fenton during First World War. Collected Maya ceramics during time in Guatemala and sold collection to British Museum in 1930.
