Frederick Henry Wood, Esq. of Hollin Hall and Copmanthorpe, J. P. and D.L., b. 14 Sept. 1811 ; m. 1st, 10 Oct. 1840,
Charlotte Augusta, eldest dau. of the late John Rothery, Esq. of Leeds
Frederick Henry Wood, of Hollin Hall and Copmanthorpe, Yorkshire, was the eldest son of Henry Wood and his wife Anne Eliza, fifth daughter of John Eckersall of Claverton House, near Bath. He served in the Yorkshire Hussars from 1835 to 1861. He married Charlotte Augusta (d.1861) eldest daughter of John Rothery, of Leeds, in 1840 by whom she had two sons and a daughter. Following the death of his first wife he married secondly, Sarah, only child of Captain William Hay, in 1865.
Born on 1812 to Henry Richard Wood and Anne Eliza Eckersall. Frederick Henry married Sarah Catherine Hay. He passed away on 26 Jul 1886 in Hollin Hall.

A three-quarter length portrait of Major Frederick Henry Wook in uniform was sold fir £5 750 in July 1998.
