He graduated MB, London in 1843 (MD 1844, FRCP 1870). He was President of the Hunterian Society, Physician to the Seaman's Hospital at Greenwich, the City of London Hospital for Diseases of the Chest, and the Life Association of Scotland. He died at 28 Finsbury Circus, 10 July 1880."[1]
