Gazetted Lieutenant – East Yorkshire Regiment – 3rd December 1914. Promoted Captain – April 1915.
Severely wounded in the chest, neck and arm at Loos in September 1915. returned to France March 1916.
Rank: Dental Surgeon – Team Captain
Regiment: East Yorkshire Regiment, 8th Battalion.
Medals Awarded: Victory, British War & 1915 Star.
Norris is also remembered on the war memorial at St. Guy’s Hospital and the Working War memorial, London.
