Raphael Meldola FRS (19 July 1849 – 16 November 1915) was a British chemist and entomologist. He was Professor of Organic Chemistry in the University of London, 1912–5.<br /><br />Born London; died London.<br />Worked for manufacturers of dyestuffs on which subject he became an expert. Professor of Chemistry, Finsbury Technical College (1885-1915). Had an interest in photography and published photographs of Nicobarese. Honorary degrees from Oxford, where he delivered Herbert Spencer lecture, and St Andrews.<br />
