Sir Arthur Keith FRS[1] (5 February 1866 – 7 January 1955) was a Scottish anatomist and anthropologist. He was a fellow and later the Hunterian Professor and conservator of the Hunterian Museum of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.<br /><br />Born Old Machar, Aberdeenshire; died Downe, Kent. GP in Mansfield and Medical Officer for mining company in Siam (Thailand) where he collected for Kew. Conservator at Royal College of Surgeons 1908-33. Doubted Piltdown skull. Knighted 1921. Honorary degrees from Aberdeen, Durham, Manchester, Birmingham, and Oxford<br /><br />
