Julius Kollmann (* February 24 1834 in Wood Home (Bavaria), † 24 June 1918 in Basel ) was a German zoologist , anthropologist and anatomist .
Kollmann in 1862 lecturer, from 1870 associate professor in Munich and in 1878 full professor of anatomy in Basel . He has published work on the development of the teeth, to the connective tissue (mainly of invertebrates, such as molluscs ) and the formation of blood. In other works he dealt with various European ethnic groups. Kollmann wrote textbooks on anatomy and developmental history. In one of his works, he described a European dwarf people from prehistoric times.
