6 May 1952 No. 9: Staff Matters: The Council considered the position arising from Miss Stallman’s departure from the Institute’s service. It was reported that the Institute’s services and activities had been successfully carried on at the expense of extra work by Mrs Bowe. The following resolutions were adopted for the future organization of the secretariat:
(i) that the post of Assistant Secretary cease to exist and that a new post of Secretary to the Officers be created;
(ii) that Mrs A.C. Bowe be appointed to this post with effect from 1 Apr. 1952, her present salary being increased by £10 a month, with continued occupancy of the top-floor flat;
