· Alexander G. Paspati is among the 12 Greek youths brought to New York between 1823-1831 by the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions. [· 3]
· "Six of the Greek youths, who have received instruction from the missionaries of the Board at Malta, have been sent to this country, during the past year, for the purpose of enjoying the literary and religious advantages, with which a kind Providence has so abundantly favored us...arrived in May...Alessandro Paspati...has a mother at Malta, but his father is dead.
