b. Ewerby, Lincolnshire, son of John Tindale. At Ewerby he inherited a considerable landed estate at an early age. Educated at Rugby School, and Jesus College, Cambridge. Admitted to Lincoln's Inn, 1869. He travelled in Egypt, 1871-2. Later he settled in a house in Sussex Square, Brighton
Sleaford In 1875, Mr. Thomas Plumpton TINDALE left the interest from £1,000 for meat and coal for the poor annually.
