Hamilton married Lady Elizabeth Proby on 7 Aug. 1844
Lord Claud Hamilton was born on 27 July 1813.1 He was the son of James Hamilton, Viscount Hamilton and Harriet Douglas.1 He married Lady Elizabeth Emma Proby, daughter of Admiral Granville Leveson Proby, 3rd Earl of Carysfort and Isabella Howard, on 7 August 1844.1 He died on 3 June 1884 at age 70
Lady Elizabeth Emma Proby was born in 1821.2 She was the daughter of Admiral Granville Leveson Proby, 3rd Earl of Carysfort and Isabella Howard.1,3 She married Lord Claud Hamilton, son of James Hamilton, Viscount Hamilton and Harriet Douglas, on 7 August 1844.1 She died on 24 June 1900.1
From 7 August 1844, her married name became Hamilton.
