There remains only to mention the work of H.R.M. Chamberlain, The Eunuch in Society, which was finished several years ago, and, I believe, still awaits a publisher [from The Harem: Inside the Grand Seraglio of the Turkish Sultans By N. M. Penzer]
The Library has added a new section to its Card Catalogue. it consists of 120 drawers and has been erected opposite the original Catalogue. This was made possible by the very generous gift of Mrs Mabel Chamerlain in memory of her late husband H.R.M. Chamberlain [Commonworth Journal 1963]
We also have to record with great regret the loss of H.R.M. Chamberlain of Worthing [Fabian Soc. AR 1954]
