As ethnographic classics applies his book In the Shadow of the Bush (1912).
The author traveled with his wife Dorothy Amaury Talbot (1871-1916) extensively in Oban District of Nigeria Southern and part of Cameroon , to the people of the Ekoi to study as well as the natural history of the area.
