He was Professor of Organic Chemistry in the University of London, 1912–5.<br /><br />Born London; died London.<br />Worked for manufacturers of dyestuffs on which subject he became an expert. Professor of Chemistry, Finsbury Technical College (1885-1915). Had an interest in photography and published photographs of Nicobarese.
