Hull physician Murdoch Kelburne King, M.D., who treated Stephenson after the 1868 shooting incident off Flamborough Head. It's from the British Medical Journal, January 16, 1886. As you can see, he had a notable career, and the mere fact that his obituary was published in the BMJ shows his status among the British medical community.
