[Haseley Manor]: In 1533 Henry Tudor's granddaughter gave the estate to Michael Throckmorton of Coughton and The Manor remained in the family until 1775. The present building, a fine example of grand Victorian craftsmanship, dates from 1878 when Alfred Hewlett, a Lancashire coal merchant, purchased the estate and extended an earlier structure. The family remained at Haseley until 1940. By 1954 The Manor had become a staff training centre for the British Motor Corporation. IM Properties PLC purchased The Manor in 1990 and, today, continues to uphold traditions of quality and excellence in a business centre unparalleled in the region.
