Sacramento Daily Union, Volume 1, Number 1, 19 May 1889. The death is announced of Bishop Hyacinth Ronay, of Pressburg. Forty years ago he was a friend and adherent of* Kossuth. He took part in the Hungarian revolutionary movement, and was appointed Commissioner in the Revolutionary Government. On being driven into exile. Bishop Ronay went to London, where he lived for seventeen years, returning to his native country on the proclamation of an amnesty by the Austrian Emperor in lSli'i. He was subsequently appointed teacher of Hnngarian history to the late Crown Prince Rudolph and the Princess Marie Valeric.
