Theed, Frederick (1814 - 1880)

Born 1814 Died 20 August 1880
Lower Halstow, Kent Occupation General surgeon

Educated at St Bartholomew's Hospital. He was in general practice at Fletton, Huntingdonshire, and then at Wansford, Northamptonshire, moving in the middle of the century to Rhyl, Flintshire, where he remained for many years and was Surgeon to the Rhyl Convalescent Institute. He was President for 1860 of the North Wales Branch of the British Medical Association, and was also a member of the Sydenham Society and the Cambrian Archaeological Society. Latterly he was Surgeon to the 1st Battalion Flintshire Rifle Volunteers. He retired about the year 1870, and died on Aug 20th, 1880, at the Vicarage, Lower Halstow, Kent, the residence of his brother.
