1874.01.13 Mr Trelawney Saunders of the India Office was proposed as a Corresponding Member of the Institute
1874.02.10 elected a corresponding member of the Institute
death noted in the report of the council for 1910: Mr. T. W. Saunders, one of our few remaining corresponding fellows, was chiefly known as a geographer. In 1868 he became assistant geographer to the India Office, and for nearly twenty years, until his retirement, was fully occupied with his duties there, and the publication of many works on his own particular subject.

Mr. Trelawney Saunders was a seller of maps and charts in a stationer’s shop. In 1852 Edward Stanford became Saunders' partner, but a year later the company was dissolved and Stanford took control of the business himself.
