the son of John Anderson Robertson, minister at St Annes, Corstophine. He was a decorated soldier, 2nd Lieut., RFA and joined the Administrative Service of Uganda. His sister Aileen Robertson married 1st Jan. 1926 Field Marshal William Joseph Slim, MC, India. later Governor General of Australia
