Major Hugh Fforde Searight born in London 9th June 1875 and was educated at Charterhouse and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. He joined the 1st Dragoon Guards in 1895. Served in the South African War 1901-02. Brigade-Major, Northen Nigeria 1905-06; Commanded Mounted Infantry Northen Nigeria 1906-09 (despatches 2.7.07); Reserve of Officers, 1910-14; Acting Colonial Secretary, Falkland Islands, June-Sept 1911 and Oct 1912 to March 1913; D.A.Q.M.G.Northen Commander 1915-16; 67th Division, France 1917 (Despatches 11.12.17) D.S.O.(LG.1.1.18). Ministry of National Service,i/c Administration Limerick Area. He died 5th August 1942. [from Bonhams auction for medals - his father perhaps?]

His wife: Anthea Holloway was born on March 19, 1919 in Brentford, Middlesex, England as Anthea Mary Holloway. She was an actress, known for Corridors of Blood (1958), Beginners Please (1960) and Little Dorrit (1987). She was married to Hamish Roughead and Hugh Searight. She died on May 4, 2002 in Tooting, London, England.
Her husband Hugh Fforde Searight (born 24th July 1919 in Paddington, London, England, UK, died 24th January 2003) was a Senior Producer of BBC Radio News Reel.
